Tapestry 2

When preparing a tapestry grid each colour code is associated with a thread colour. With the tapestry portraying Alix full-faced the colour codes correspond to thread colours relating to the shades of grey from the original image. The threads following the framework are thus step by step becoming an imitation of the image. Here the colour codes themselves are a mimicry of the perception of the image in black and white while the threads picked for each code were picked for absolutely no reason and with no link to the perception of the original image. Whereas the model can be perceived as reality, its by-product does not bother with imitating what is real and shows its actual face which is of basic reconstruction.
