After various digital manipulations, the american bathing suit image taken with the camcorder is turned to shades of grey and reduced to 16 shades. Once it has been isolated, each black & white contour line is colorized regardless of aesthetics, of verisimilitude or of symbolism – the only prerequisite being that the colours are easy to tell apart. The contour lines, gathered, make a pattern in which colours are indicators of different shades but have nothing to do with the shades of the original image. Each color can be replaced by any other.
